Job description
We are looking for a talented and strategic Development Officer to develop proposals and respond to calls for projects in order to find grants to support MDI's operations. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in proposal writing, fundraising and project management in the NGO or digital media sector.
Responsibilities
- Identifier des opportunités de financement et des appels à projets pertinents pour MDI.
- Élaborer et rédiger des propositions de subventions détaillées et convaincantes.
- Coordonner la réponse aux appels à projets, y compris la collecte des informations nécessaires et la collaboration avec les équipes internes.
- Maintenir des relations avec les bailleurs de fonds et les partenaires financiers.
- Assurer le suivi et l’évaluation des projets financés, en préparant des rapports pour les bailleurs de fonds.
- Contribuer à la stratégie de développement global de MDI, en proposant des initiatives pour diversifier les sources de financement.
Qualifications
- Diplôme en gestion, commerce, marketing, communication ou domaine connexe.
- Expérience professionnelle avérée en développement de projets, rédaction de propositions et recherche de financements (minimum 3 années).
- Compétences solides en rédaction et en communication.
- Connaissance des mécanismes de financement des ONG et des projets de médias numériques.
- Capacité à travailler de manière autonome et en équipe.
- Esprit d’initiative et capacité à gérer plusieurs projets simultanément.
Atouts supplémentaires
- Expérience dans le secteur des médias numériques ou des technologies.
- Connaissance des outils de gestion de projets et des techniques de recherche de subventions.
- Maîtrise de plusieurs langues est un plus.

We are seeking a talented, strategic, and bilingual (English/French) Development Officer to develop proposals and respond to project calls to secure grants supporting MDI’s operations. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in proposal writing, fundraising, and project management in the NGO or digital media sectors.
Responsibilities:
- Identify funding opportunities and relevant project calls for MDI.
- Develop and write detailed and compelling grant proposals.
- Coordinate responses to project calls, including gathering necessary information and collaborating with internal teams.
- Maintain relationships with funders and financial partners.
- Monitor and evaluate funded projects, preparing reports for funders.
- Contribute to MDI’s overall development strategy by proposing initiatives to diversify funding sources.
Qualifications:
- Degree in management, business, marketing, communication, or a related field.
- Proven professional experience in project development, proposal writing, and fundraising (minimum 3 years).
- Strong writing and communication skills.
- Knowledge of NGO funding mechanisms and digital media projects.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Initiative and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Additional Assets:
- Experience in the digital media or technology sector.
- Knowledge of project management tools and grant research techniques.
- Proficiency in multiple languages is a plus.
